Sound System:

The main components of the sound system that was in my Buick:

• Sony Mobile ES CDX-7850 CD player
• Sony XE-8mkII Electronic Equalizer/Analyzer
• Sony XA-107 Source Selector
• A pair of Infinity Kappa 462.1cf 4" x 6" plate speakers (3.5" midrange and 1" tweeter) in the dash
• Powered by a Sony XM-3020 30W x 2 amp
• A pair of Pioneer TS-6905 6" x 9" speakers in the rear deck
  • Powered by a Sony XM-4520 45W x 2 amp
• A pair of JL 10" subwoofers in a sealed Q-Logic box in the trunk
  • Powered by a Sony Mobile ES XM-3046 40W x 4 amp (bridged to 110W x 2)
• StreetWires RCA Cables
• 8 gauge power cable from battery to rear amps
• Rockford Fosgate power distribution blocks

When I transplanted the MP3 jukebox system into the truck, most of the stereo equipment came along as well, but with some differences:

• Sony Mobile ES CDX-7850 CD player
• Sony XA-107 Source Selector
• A pair of 3.5" Pioneer 2-way speakers in the dash
  • Powered by the Sony head unit
• A pair of JBL GTO 650 3-way 6.5" speakers in the rear
  • Powered by a Sony Mobile ES XM-3046 40W x 4 amp
  • The amp has two blown channels, so I can't use it to power the front speakers
  • I'll be replacing both amps with a 5-channel Sony Mobile ES XM-1805GX for the entire system
• A single JL 10" subwoofers in a sealed Q-Logic box
  • One of my subwoofers surrounds was ripped, but I only needed one for this application
  • Powered by a Sony XM-4520 45W x 2 amp (bridged to 110W x 1)
• StreetWires RCA Cables
• 8 gauge power cable from battery to amps
